We believe in transparency. All prices are listed below. We do not require you to call us, make an appointment, or fill out a form to find out what we offer and what we charge for our services. Families have enough hoops to jump through in the college admissions process; finding out the cost of services shouldn’t be one of them.

HIGH SCHOOL PLANNING PACKAGE $550

Price includes three one-hour sessions (initial consultation, review of recommended plan, follow-up). 

Advice on course planning and extracurricular activities including AP/IB classes, clubs, volunteer opportunities, summer planning, and community service.

Review of standardized tests including the PSAT/NMSQT, SAT (including subject tests), ACT, CLEP, and AP exams.  Review of deadlines and registration procedures.  

MAJOR/MINOR FIELD OF STUDY AND CAREER ASSESSMENT PACKAGE  $650

Price includes three one-hour sessions (initial consultation, review of assessment results, discussion of options)

Initial review of the student’s goals and interests.  Administration of career assessment tool.  

Comprehensive review of assessment results and student’s goals and interests. Discussion of preferred major and career paths.

Refinement of academic program selection.  Review of the state of the job market and outlook for selected careers.

COLLEGE SELECTION PACKAGE $750

Price includes an initial survey followed by consultation, list of college recommendations, and follow-up consultation.

Distribution of college selection survey tool to be completed prior to in-person consultation.

Consultation with student and parent(s) to determine and discuss criteria for college selection (location, size, campus culture, programs, cost, etc.).

Comprehensive list of suggested colleges including college profiles and ranking based on student/parent selection criteria.

COLLEGE VISIT PLANNING AND PREPARATION $450/College

Assistance with planning the college visit including logistics, campus tour/orientation scheduling, arranging to meet with faculty/students, and providing general campus information.  

One full day’s itinerary includes the above and one additional extracurricular event (sporting event, club event, performance, etc.). 

GAP YEAR PLANNING PACKAGE $700

Many students want to take the time to evaluate and refine their goals and values before making a higher education commitment.  It is not uncommon for students to choose a “gap year” between graduation and matriculation.  

This service includes a one-hour consultation, preparation of a custom list of opportunity/experience options, one-hour opportunity review, and one-hour follow-up to discuss packaging the experience for admissions committees and employers.

TUTORING | Variable Rates

Professional tutoring service with subject matter experts.  Each of our tutors has a graduate degree in their discipline and a minimum of ten years of professional experience.  

ACT/SAT TEST PREP (Private Prep.) | $750/Test

Compass Academics offers in-person, and virtual, one-on-one test prep services in the St. Louis area and nationwide. Standardized test preparation includes a review of the test format and methodology, review of test-taking strategies and tips, personalized evaluation of client strengths/weaknesses, custom content review, discussion of stress management techniques, recommendations for a plan of study, and a briefing on how colleges use test scores. 

This package also includes a copy of the Official ACT Prep Guide with five full-length practice tests and proprietary online test banks, and assessment/strategizing sessions after each test administration. All materials included. Students should plan to commit to a six-week test prep plan.

ACT/SAT TEST PREP (Small Group Prep.) | $350/Test

Compass Academics offers small group test prep classes in the St. Louis area during Summer, Winter, and Spring Breaks. These classes are limited to 10 students. Each class is comprised of five, one-hour sessions and includes the following: review of format and methodology; review of strategies and tips; content review, review of stress management techniques; and practice tests.

These are accelerated prep courses that require the student to complete practice tests outside of class time. Students should be prepared to commit to attend every session and complete all practice tests to achieve maximum results.

APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION PACKAGE | $1400

The services below may be purchased individually.  Price is for each college application and the package includes the following services: 

Common App Walkthrough and Timeline | $450:  Assistance with the Common App components, application timeline and chart for each college’s deadlines and materials, and advice on necessary materials and information to include on the application.

Letters of Recommendation | $150:  Assistance with selecting recommenders and preparation of appropriate materials to ensure customized, personal, and comprehensive letters of support.

Admission Essay | $550:  Support with generating an outline and brainstorming content, two revision processes, and proofreading/editing the final draft.  If an essay needs to address a specific prompt, or is school/program specific, then each essay modification is an additional charge.

Admission Interview | $250:  Assistance with preparing answers to common interview questions and a mock interview experience.  

SCHOLARSHIPS, FELLOWSHIPS, AND GRANTS PACKAGE | $450

Price includes a one-hour consultation, list of funding opportunities, and assistance with one application.  

Initial consultation to review funding options including need-based and merit-based opportunities.

Comprehensive list of scholarships, fellowships, and/or grants based on student eligibility including descriptions and deadlines for each option.

Application assistance including review of necessary materials, advice on recommender selection, suggestions for essay/personal statement development.  Assistance is available for multiple applications at an additional charge.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SERVICES

We offer services in transcript evaluation, essay assistance, and recommendations for ESL resources.  Please contact us for further details.
